White Rock, BC

White Rock is a beautiful city in Surrey British Columbia, and is part of the Vancouver Regional District. The city is bordered by Surrey on three sides and Semiahmoo Bay to the south. With a population of about 19,000, the city is just 5 minutes to the Canada/US border and about 45 km from Vancouver. Whether you are looking for a place to visit on vacation or are in search of a retirement spot, you are sure of meeting your needs in this city. With a climate that is described as moderate, you are sure of enjoying your time here. The average winter temperature is 6 degrees Celsius while the summer average temperature is 23 degrees Celsius.

There is a large beach, train station, heritage pier, beautiful sidewalk cafes that give the city a special ambiance. There are two primary schools and about four secondary schools between the city and South Surrey. In terms of higher education, Simon Fraser University and Kwantlen Polytechnic University are all located in Surrey. Transportation is well-planned for an easy commute to different places in British Columbia. If you wish to go to Vancouver, it takes just about an hour to get there. There are high-occupancy vehicle lanes and dedicated buses that make public transportation appealing. However, due to the attractive and serene nature of the city, property values are beginning to go up as more people are moving to the region.

White Rock has a lot of farmers who ensure fresh food is always available to the inhabitants of the city.
