Langley, BC
Langley City is a municipal in the Regional District of Metro Vancouver and lies eastward of Surrey, adjacent to Cloverdale. The beauty of this place is that it is actually a two-in-one place. First, you have the township area: a 308 km2 district municipal, playing a historic role in the gold rush, fur trading, and other activities. Also, there is the tiny, 10 km2 city area – a vibrant urban settlement with a plethora of activities to do. If you want to enjoy the vibes of this beautiful region, it is best to spend some time in both the city and township areas. When making plans for your itinerary, a good place to begin is the Fort Langley National Historic Site, where you will learn a lot about the history of the place.
There are also a few farms in this area where you can equip yourself with the agricultural practices in the community and enjoy some freshly harvested produce in the process. Thereafter, you can decide to move into the city’s core areas to have a good time in some good restaurants and cafes. If you enjoy sporting events, you can spend some time watching the Vancouver Giants hockey game at the event center.
The first European settlement in the area was dated back to the 1980s. Over the years, the town began to experience massive development, thanks to the construction of the railway to link the community with other regions. Commercialization also started striving and more classic infrastructures were birthed. Whether you are looking for a place to spend some time with family and friends or are looking for a retirement spot, this community has everything to offer you. There are good road networks, beautiful houses at reasonable prices, good schools for kids, and a clean environment with breathtaking landscapes.
Some of the places to visit include the Canadian Museum of Flight, Greater Vancouver Zoo if you care to see wildlife, the Penzer Action Park, and a lot more places to have fun. The people of this community are super-friendly, so, settling down there won’t be an issue. There are about five elementary schools and one middle school in the region. Some of the major roads in the city include Fraser Highway, Bypass, 64 Avenue, Glover Road, and 200 Street.
